The Tuition

You’ve made an error and searched for a way to deal with it.

A way to look at it is to decide that it was an investment in your future. Another way to describe it is to call it a tuition fee.

I’ve had my share of them.

The next move then is to decide to make the best of it. Or to decide to let it go as it’s been paid for.

Looking below the surface, this is, for many, a reaction to a sense of guilt and the effort to get rid of feeling guilt.

It raises the question of why making an error leads to a sense of guilt in the first place.

What is in this particular error that triggers a sense of guilt?
