The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

The spark that changes your energy

Asked about his training, Michael shared that he gave up on his plan to be back in Hawaii this year. Some years ago he had succeeded to participate in the Hawaii Ironman. It had been a thrilling experience and he had wanted to repeat it.

But the training wasn’t working out well. Too many thoughts had been disturbing him.

Leaning into training is a choice.

It’s possible to engage in training and be clear in our engagement. It requires our energy and engagement to do so. Sometime during the training, we’ll usually experience that moment that confirms that we are on the right path.

We can also get ourselves started by getting into the sportswear and see how far it carries us. As we start the training and see that more is possible than we thought at the start, we’ll recognize this moment where the training simply becomes fluid.

But there are days when neither work.

Commitment is hard.

Tomorrow is another day to face your fears and meet that spark.

Reminding Michael of this moment changed the look in his eyes.
