The whole and its parts

Seeking perfection

The essence of perfection is that it is constantly subject to change. What was expected to be the perfect answer yesterday, might not be true anymore today.

Everything relating to this idea of perfection is shifting. The person aiming for an objective will have learned something new since developing the idea. The recipients will have new or different needs than yesterday. The context of the work will have changed. Society, the world, and the climate, all will have evolved.

What was sought to be the perfect solution yesterday will have been right. Yesterday.

Today is another day.

A possible conclusion could be that perfection can never be reached and shouldn’t be planned for.

Another conclusion can be to aim for the perfect, learn everything one can to make it happen, work hard to achieve it, and regularly take the time to revisit the ambition.

Things will have changed, the ambition needs to be adapted to whatever seems to be the right objective now. It may be entirely different, it may build on what is. But it will always include what has been achieved until now.
