This was perfection

Perfectionism has the tendency to make us believe that things are organized in an either-or fashion. That exclusivity is possible.

Aiming for perfection means to create an impression that nothing disturbs.

It’s even worse when there is an expectation that this impression needs to remain present all the time.

By nature, perfection is gone in the moment it existed.
