The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Enjoying what you do

There is no way to enjoy what one does without understanding the reality of the situation.

Whenever there is a distance from reality it means that the situation “should” be different from what it is. The longer one holds on to the “should” the longer it takes to become able to react according to the situation as it is.

This doesn’t say that one can only act knowing and understanding the way reality is structured. It means that illusions and delusions will add distortion to one’s perspective on the existing options.

Beyond this, the presence of something that should be different means that disappointment needs to be integrated into the perception of the situation.

The ability to accept these differences reduces distractions and creates space to enjoy what one can do with the given situation.
