The wonderful day

If someone shares how wonderful their day was it doesn’t say anything about how you would like it.

Taking a round of golf as an example, some will say that they had a lovely round if they found themselves making one great shot. They may have suffered for the rest of the round, losing balls and making bad shots. However, for them, this one shot stood out and showed them something about themselves that they appreciated.

Having had a wonderful day is an evaluation of the day, not an average, a sum total, or a detailed description of everything that happened. The way someone evaluates his day is a very individual decision.

And sometimes it is only what they believe they can share with others. Their internal evaluation may be very different.
