The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Preferring the problem

Do you know this person who will always remind you of the problem you have to think about?

Some people react trying to push the problem away. Others decide to focus on the problem.

Both reactions are a problem in themselves. In one case, it’s about trying to make the problem inexistent and in the other case it is letting that problem become the only thing to solve.

It’s a fight or flight type of reaction. It’s letting the amygdala decide what happens.

The more challenging solution is to engage with the problem. To take time to assess it and to decide how relevant it is. To wait until then before deciding what to do.
