The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Making others dependent

The single most important thing to find independence is the ability to think for oneself.

Methods people use to prevent this ability are:

Only tell people what was wrong in what they did.

Reassuring people that things will work out if they simply go ahead.

Taking over when others hesitate or seem to be too slow.

Focusing on blaming people when seeing them make errors.

Deciding on their behalf what they should do.

Avoid saying one’s opinion out of fear that the other will be harmed by it.

Shutting down conversations when they heat up.

In principle, it’s everything that invites others to simply follow the leadership or lets them be without leadership.
