When people seek to make change happen, one of the things they will often plan for is how other people should change.

It can be what the team needs to do or how they should behave in the future. It can also be what customers should look out for or act upon.

There is no bad will in this approach. However, it is based on the assumption that what they do or believe is not what they should do or believe.

It is making an easy judgment of what it is that would be right.

It lacks an understanding of who they are and what they want. –

Making change happen requires going into more depth. It requires observation and research, it asks for stepping into their shoes, and it can’t happen without understanding who within the group fits into the easy judgment and who doesn’t.

Easy judgment can be the place to start if it is taken as a hypothesis that can be disproven.
