Checking in with experience

It’s foolish to assume that the experience someone shares is equivalent to feedback.

It’s just as foolish to share one’s experience assuming that others will use it to reflect on the impact they have had.

The most probable result is that people will confuse the impact others report with being judged by them. For most, it is too challenging to learn how different their impact is from the image they have of themselves. Which is when learning how they contribute to a team dynamic they don’t like and try to go against makes them run away from the mirror they are being shown-
