The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Awareness and thinking

Thinking and awareness are different “things.”

What thinking allows us to do is create or ruminate. What happens is that we connect bits of information, interpret them, play with them, or in some other way take the information available to create meaning.

Awareness is something that happens to us if we allow it to happen. It connects with information that emerges and makes it accessible to our thinking process. When it happens without resistance, any information that appears has its usefulness but not all of it needs to be used. The selection process can create doubt, but it opens the road to a conscious choice, thus avoiding our automatic choice.
