Sometimes people react defensively when structures and methods are being suggested.

However, providing structures and methods is there to get the work done.

It doesn’t mean that the work will then get done by itself.

What it does is more important, it creates the space within which that work can happen.

It’s how structures and methods are being designed and handled that people react defensively to.

That’s not to be confused with the idea of providing structures and methods as such.
