Impact and scale can go together, but most often scale is the hope of impact. It’s pursuing a goal for the merits it may attain one day.

Changing the world doesn’t require scale. Having an impact doesn’t require it either.

It invites the idea, that scale is tied to the idea of fame and success, more than to a sense of purpose and connection.

The question then becomes, what’s more motivating? Purpose or fame?
