The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Disciplined learning

Change happens by itself.

Implementing change is different.

It requires knowing what change one seeks to achieve.

It needs action.

It builds on the observation of the impact the action had.

It becomes learning through reflection.

Reflection serves disciplined learning through a combination of the intention, action, and observation of the action’s impact as well as its analysis.

By taking the time to understand how what happened is linked to what was intended and how it was performed it becomes possible to decide what will be integrated into culture and what shall be forgotten.
