“What do you want” is a tricky question.
Most of the time, people don’t have an answer to it.
It’s a myth that they don’t know.
If they hesitate to answer, they might be scared that others won’t like it or, that it will be rejected or seen as inappropriate.
If they answer that they don’t know then it’s often because they rarely give themselves the space to see what it is that they want.
Most of the time it is the inability to prioritize one’s choices.
People prefer to do it at the last second and when an action can take place.
Every action that is undertaken is based on a want.
However, it often is an automatic choice. Its reasons are long forgotten and rarely questioned. One that can hide the want within a reaction seemingly serving people trying to avoid what they don’t want.
By observing our choices and actions, what we want will become apparent the more we learn to be honest with ourselves and what we see of it.
