The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Think bigger

When confronted with a dilemma the answer might be found by asking a larger question.

It’s as simple as asking oneself, for example, if one wants to exercise today or not. The answer might be found in asking oneself if it serves our health or not.

The art lies in finding the larger question that applies to our situation. It’s where our priorities can guide us.

What we want now will not always be aligned with our priorities and vice versa. But our priorities can guide us as they help us see the value in the long-term perspective and contrast it with immediate satisfaction.
