Problematic conflicts

Many organizations swear by processes. They seek efficiency and the effects of scale.

To achieve this, a process needs to be fluid.

This means that conflicts will be perceived as problematic and as a sign that the process is not well designed. Given the context this makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense is the assumption that any conflict needs to be rejected and avoided.

Not everything is a process or has a known output allowing it to be organized.
