Whatever situation one is in, there is a relationship, there are other people involved.
Those people need to find themselves invited to come along or invited to position themselves.
There is no need nor use to drag them along.
Those who decide to be in will be the ones who want to contribute to a common objective. It means that they want to help and are willing to be helped. It is how they develop a sense of togetherness, reciprocity, and belonging.
Heartfelt presence creates the space necessary to connect and attend to the relationship. It enables an experience of reciprocity and togetherness without which the sense of belonging would only be functional or transactional.
Sometimes this heartfelt presence needs words to become palpable, but not always. The words then will mostly serve everyone’s ability to ask, contribute, and give. The authenticity of these words becomes a mirror of the heartfelt presence.
PS. This reflection was triggered by the book “The PATH to Strategic Impact” by Dr. Michael Gerharz. Note that the H of PATH means “heartfelt.”
