The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

Fate or destiny?

For some both might be and thus become the same.

Others distinguish fate and destiny.

Fate then becomes everything that can’t be changed. Some of it seems to be luck and some of it doesn’t appear to be. Consider for example the country you are born in, the family you were born into, an illness you are born with or that appears and can only be lived with, your looks, or whatever you like or dislike about yourself.

Destiny then is everything you achieve given the circumstances. It’s where you end up. It’s how you transform everything that seemed to be luck or that didn’t appear to be what you wanted.

Destiny is unique to you and, thus very much your responsibility.

Now, don’t confuse destiny with objectives or even dreams you might have.
