The whole and its parts

Bringing results into the equation

Results are how progress becomes visible. The result as such is neutral. It is only through its context that it can be evaluated and will show if there is growth or regression.

That is how the individual result may not seem to be important, or may even appear as a failure, but can be a success when seen within a sequence.

They can bring one closer to a goal as much as unintentional. They just appear. Intention, however, contributes to integrating them into a project and objectives one has.

Quite often results deliver a surprise. That is, when one starts to take a closer look at one’s skills, experience, pleasure, disappointments, and challenges, and put them into perspective.

That is when one starts to see what changed as a consequence of the results one delivered over time. Results may have simply been seen as experiences happening along the way.

What makes results less convenient than objectives is that without our observation they might have unexpectedly transformed our habits.
