When you are communicating are you paying attention to what the message is about and to whom it is addressed?
It is impressive to see the care and attention Fred Rogers brings to this sequence and even more so from today’s perspective:

When communication feels scary, makes you sad or angry, “look for the people who are helping” is a great advice. It seems even more helpful as I’m not sure that we are continuing to learn “to talk and play about our feelings” while growing up as Fred Rogers suggests. Looking for the people who are helping is a way to change that and share what is happening for us and hear how others experience it.
