It seems obvious, that a plan and its execution will differ in details.

This idea often loses its power when a system or other tool is involved. The assumption then becomes that this tool should be flawless and do everything as described in the original plan. It doesn’t as those executing the plan usually still are humans.

It’s thus still on us to be attentive on the execution of the plan and stick to find ways within the defined system to achieve as much of the plan as possible.

This isn’t about creativity, it is about responsibility and commitment. Responsibility serves us to remind us about the task we have accepted while commitment helps us to do all the necessary work towards achieving the goal described with the plan.
