The whole and its parts

The whole & its parts

The best description can be the opposite

Have you ever tried to explain to someone else, how a kind person is and acts?

One of the default methods to do so, is to describe such a person with a lot of words or to search for someone both might know and use that person as an example.
Another option is to use a pair of words to create a distance between what a kind person is and what that person isn’t.

A JCI training thus explains the personality of an Effective Leader as follows:

  • Be strong but not rude
  • Be kind but not weak
  • Be bold but not bully
  • Be proud but not arrogant

Now, think about your own list.
